Public Program Offerings
Experience the benefits of Wellspring
Public programs allow our broader community to engage with Wellspring in a meaningful way. They provide an opportunity to experience Wellspring.
Whether you join us for an evening of music or to hear from one of our content experts, all are welcome. Invite a friend, a neighbour, your doctor – we would love to see you.
Wellspring Alberta offers a full range of programs and services, both online and in person. Programs are available free of charge and without referral to anyone living with cancer – those diagnosed, their caregivers and their kids. Most programs require membership; however, some programs are open to the general public.

At Campfire Classics, members and the public are invited to join together in a big circle and sing and play favourite and often familiar old songs once a week.
Cancer Connect is an informal gathering over coffee, tea and snacks, offered in Red Deer and Lethbridge. These monthly gatherings offer a safe space to connect with others on a similar path and learn strategies for supporting the mind, body and spirit.
Join different musicians each week for a mini concert. Embrace the sense of community that music can bring.
Legal and Employment Matters
Facilitated by legal and human resources specialists, information is provided to help individuals assess the impact an absence from work can have on their employment relationship, understand the perspective of the employer, and clarify their legal rights to assist in planning a work absence and successful return to work.
At Open Mic, members are invited to perform, with or without instruments. Members might choose to sing a song, play an instrumental, tell a story, or simply listen and enjoy.
